We are extremely grateful for old friends and new, for supportive families, and the important things in life.

~ A Note From Paul ~
I am extremely grateful for old friends and new, for supportive families, and the important things in life.
The Nitrous Team and I wish you and those important to you a warm and wonderful holiday.

Recently I was assembling some new reels with my most excellent Assistant Editor Annie, and we took a deep dive into the Nitrous archive. To this day, I am awestruck by all that the Nitrous Team —classic and current, has accomplished together. Below is a small sample of the past year.

We had the privilege of grading and mastering some wonderful work this year.
Some work of note is a collection of CAR SHORTS for the History Channel,
an Off-BROADWAY PLAY turned movie, and a CHILLING THRILLER.
Working with our friends from Friendly Films, not only did we have a great time color grading these beautiful stories, we learned what makes Detroit unique when it comes to the automotive industry,
how to ride slow and jam loud in a SLAB car in Houston,

all about the need for ridiculous speed on Long Island,

and the construction of art cars.

Did you know we at NITROUS love cars... ?
YEAH, you knew that.

Daniel and Paul color graded and mastered PUFFS for distribution to iTunes and other digital distribution platforms.

ABOUT THE FILM: For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs. . . who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. The New York Times proclaims PUFFS, “A FAST-PACED ROMP through the ‘Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic.’ For POTTERphiliacs who grew up alongside Potter and are eager to revisit that world, ‘PUFFS’ exudes a jovial, winking fondness for all things Harry!” This clever and inventive play “never goes more than a minute without a laugh” (Nerdist) giving you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children.

Director | Editor Jarett Bellucci brings his thriller SANDPAPER to the silver screen. A story based on actual events his sister went through!

"It was a great experience collaborating with Jarett on his beautifully shot film" says Paul C. Rosen, NITROUS founder. "Jarett explained his creative vision to me and I was able to visually represent the evolving emotions throughout the film using color. Working on a feature length film vs short form meant I really had to pace myself and keep an eye on the story arc. As the characters were pulled into the thickening story, so too did the color."

ABOUT THE FILM: Eager to add value to her property before selling it, newly divorced Kate Hunt hires an amiable but eccentric local carpenter named Howard to build her a new deck. Initially the perfect craftsman, Howards behavior grows ever more peculiar as work progresses and it soon becomes clear that Howards eccentricities mask a complex and devious personality that threatens to upturn Kate's whole life, locking the pair in a battle of wills that may cost both of them their sanity. Inspired by actual events.

Many of you who have been to Nitrous–old space or new, have commented about there being a "Nitrous Vibe". To me that has meant a warm and relaxed atmosphere, layered with a killer infrastructure, and maybe a little incense.

The Vibe is also about collaboration which I have witnessed first hand time and time again when good people chill in a great space.

Consider this your invite to come by and vibe with us!
