Nitrous Ltd Produces Animated Film for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society “Stars Will Twinkle, The Sun Will Shine” Brings Comfort and Clarity to Young Cancer Patients and Their Families.
White Plains, NY — Nitrous Ltd is honored to announce the completion of “Stars Will Twinkle, The Sun Will Shine”, a heartwarming animated film produced for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS.org). Also available in Spanish as “Las estrellas brillarán, el sol también,” the film was created in partnership with Moving Pictures Audio & Video Productions, Inc., with creative and technical efforts led under the Nitrous Ltd banner.
Based on LLS’s three-book series for children, the story follows Olivia and her family as they navigate her leukemia diagnosis, treatment in the hospital, and return to school. Nitrous worked in close collaboration with the LLS team to ensure the story remained authentic, age-appropriate, and emotionally supportive for young viewers and their families.
The screenplay was crafted by longtime Nitrous collaborator Mark Cerulli, who adapted the books into a unified, engaging narrative for the screen. Nitrous Ltd oversaw and executed the entire end-to-end production process, including:
- Story development and script adaptation
- Casting of 17 English and 17 Spanish-speaking voice actors
- Storyboarding, 2D animation, and editorial
- Audio post-production and sound design
- Captioning for accessibility
- Mastering for delivery across platforms
The nine-month production brought together a talented team of creatives and technicians, united by a shared mission to support and inform families facing childhood cancer. Nitrous is proud to have brought this project to life, and to contribute to LLS’s incredible work in the blood cancer space.
